I am not sure when I figured it all out, but it had to be sometime when I was younger. Like nearly everyone, there are things you learn in the first few years of your life that once you are older you cannot truly pinpoint where that little bit of information has come from. But somewhere in my childhood, I learned that there two types of dreams.

I have written about love before (A Look at Love), but this particular Author has summed things up quite nicely.

I just want everyone who is reading this to know that I am fixated on the lies people tell, and for the past few years, I have been obsessing over the lies I am going to tell others. Now, if that sounds odd to you, simply replace the word lies with the word stories, and it will all become clear.

This quote is one that I first heard in my early adult life from my professor, mentor, and friend Bryan H. Barrows III. I know it has been years, but I am sure it is not only my opinion that you were taken from this world too soon.

If you have not figured it out by now writing is my thing and while I do not possess the ego to place myself on the same level as the giants of the literary world; I do hold my mind in high regard. The thoughts, concepts, and Ideas that come out of my gray matter are uniquely mine and I value them. That being said, no one is perfect, and while I strive to be the best that I can be each day, I still tend to make mistakes.

There is no shame in taking a look at one of the greatest minds our world has ever produced when in search of wisdom.

This time I am exploring learning, the misleading aspects of education, and touch on a few thoughts. Like most of my blog posts, this is a culmination of thoughts that highlight an opinion. Enjoy.

I think that people are all capable of receiving the same message. The differences we have come into play when we start to interpret that message for ourselves.

During my first interview (Friendly Fire: Episode 79 – Ex Tenebris, Part 1), I mentioned an article that I had written for my college’s newspaper years ago. I found that article in its unedited form hiding on my hard drive, so I decided to rewrite this article which is more of an editorial for two reasons. The original editorial did highlight quite a bit of my youthful arrogance, and the second reason is that I think the topic is still relevant.

This is a short response to a philosophical question that I am sure you have heard before but did not want to participate in the resulting discussion.

Do you remember ever being alone in the dark when you were a kid? Do you remember that inexplicable fear that had you convinced that something was about to reach out and grab you, or were you the type of child who deleted in the wonder of what your imagination brought to life? Now, ask yourself why that is not the case anymore.

Everyone has a moment or two where they hoped things would go a certain way, but they did not.

One of the most frequent topics that my friend and I would ask people about had to do with love. These questions would always lead to conversations that never had the time to come to any true conclusion.

Another question with another answer. I approach every post I write as honestly as I can. These Interlude posts are more like snapshots while the other posts are like videos of what is going on in my mind.

For the first five years of my life, I did not know that anything was really wrong with me. I was afraid of the dark, constantly got black eyes from running into things, and did not understand why people acted so differently around me.

I am here with another philosophical question. I promise to try and deliver the highest quality of thought that I can produce at any given moment in time. That being said, everyone has their off days. Enjoy.

I am going to share some facts about myself portaging to the one thing that most people take as a given and that is their vision. First, let me say that nothing I write here is intended to garner sympathy for me or any other person who is visually impaired. That is not what anyone needs. What is needed is awareness and a little understanding; that is what I hope I can provide by writing this.
