25.5: Interlude 25 – Prolationem
Is it hard to imagine a world where popularity is what inspires people to emulate someone? In the world we live in, this question might sound redundant, but the concern that prompts the question has been around longer than anyone alive today.

My Thoughts
I am not a person who aims to inspire others; nor am I above any forms of manipulation, but I am undoubtedly interested in the fundamentals that make people who they are. To be influenced is part of human nature, but to define yourself completely by the actions or words of another denies you the opportunity to be an individual.
It is perfectly fine to see eye to eye or disagree with someone when it comes to a topic you have an opinion or perspective about, as long as it is truly your opinion or perspective you are sharing. People like to pack everything into precisely defined boxes that allow for a generic form of understanding, but by doing this, the individual’s ideals are sacrificed in favor of what appears to be the majority. There is nothing wrong with wearing a plaid shirt when others are wearing a black, blue, or white one. The value of life is in the variety it creates, not the copies. Until next time, I am Nolan… Ex Tenebris.
